Martin Sargent is a brave man. You’ll find that out pretty quickly when you start watching Web Drifter.

Former Tech TV and G4 television personality, Sargent’s a practiced host with a quick wit (his interviewees often don’t notice that they’re being mocked) and the guts to visit some really, really strange people.
The show’s synopsis: “Meet the genius kooks behind the Internet’s most intriguing and outlandish websites. From wizards and UFO cultists to Bigfoot hunters and Peter Pan wannabees, no one’s site is too outrageous (or dangerous) for host Martin Sargent to web drift.”
His interview with Alex Chui is particularly enlightening. As Chui sells “Immortality Devices,” I’d expected a much crazier guy, but Chui just seems to be regular, shy, internet scammer. Whom Martin delights in making fun of.
Some of these people are genuinely terrifying, but most are just harmless nuts. Martin has no qualms about making fun of them, which might make you a little uncomfortable when watching it, but the show’s hilarious. And that totally makes up for it.
Production values are high, too. It’s available in HD, and show’s title sequence is fantastic.
Web Drifter is on the Revision3 network.
