There’s no other way to put it. Well, I suppose some expletives would better communicate the tone of my sentiment, but I’d like to think I’m more mature than that. I wouldn’t go peddling smut to get attention.
Kevin McCullough would. And does.
Game Politics reports that McCullough, the author of MuscleHead Revolution: Overturning Liberalism with Commonsense Thinking, in an effort to encourage censorship of video games, has written an article at TownHall.com spewing lies about the popular RPG Mass Effect.
Not only is he wrong about the game’s sexual content, but what he’s imagined takes place in the game (and writes as fact) is vulgar and obscene.
He’s invented for himself a video game that doesn’t exist so that he can call for the censorship of entertainment he doesn’t agree with. Proving he doesn’t have a leg to stand on, he’s had to write a pornographic fiction so that he can argue his own, personal views on pornography are ones that the government should mandate everyone share.
One can only speculate as to where the ideas for content he describes actually came from, where he found it, and why he chose to share it with the world.
Most of what he describes is much too offensive to reprint here, but here’s one of the more tasteful sentences:
“It’s called “Mass Effect” and it allows its players… to engage in the most realistic sex acts ever conceived. One can custom design the shape, form, bodies, race, hair style, breast size of the images they wish to “engage” and then watch in crystal clear, LCD, 54 inch screen, HD clarity as the video game “persons” hump in every form, format, multiple, gender-oriented possibility they can think of.”
And, no, I’m not linking to his pathetic and false “article.” He doesn’t deserve the click-throughs. You can find the link at GamePolitics if you like.
Link.
